On Monday, March 21, 2022, the ORO CERT team hosted the 18th CPR/AED training class provided by Polk County Fire Rescue. With this class, ORO passed a major milestone by assisting in the training of 405 residents and staff over the past 9 years. Theresa Schloemer had the honor of signing in as #400.
Our community ranks 2nd in the number of trained residents out of all communities in Polk County. Keep in mind that our county is about the size of Delaware. With one of our community members using these skills to help save a life (see CERT Member Uses CPR Training), we are proud to continue hosting these training classes.
Thanks to Polk County Fire/Rescue for providing the excellent instructors! Another big thank you to the ORO community for your continued support of these classes. We have already requested dates for two Stop the Bleed and two CPR/AED classes for January through March 2023.
