We found a new Venezuelan restaurant in the area: La Punta Bar and Grill. Don’t judge this book by its cover. The inside is really nice and the food is excellent! The staff was very friendly, attentive, and eager to share stories of Venezuela. They spent considerable time telling us about the various dishes, how they are made, and the history behind them.
The Cachapa was our favorite of the three dishes that we ordered. However, the ribeye and the grilled tilapia were excellent as well.
La Punta Bar and Grill has a breakfast/lunch buffet (front entrance) and a dinner restaurant (side entrance). We were there for dinner and look forward to going again.
The restaurant is located nearby at 8600 US Highway 192. Their official grand opening will be in April. They are open now to work out any issues and to tweak their menu to accommodate American expectations.
