If you would like to receive notifications on your cellphone about ORO critical alerts, such as boil water notices, you can now do that.
We have created the OROalerts account on Twitter and we will use this account to post time-critical alerts for ORO owners, renters, and guests. These notices will also be shared through our ORO Owner email list, but the Twitter account allows us to provide additional communication capabilities for our entire community:
- Important notices are no longer limited to those on our owner-only email list and those who read the messages posted on our bulletin boards.
- These notices are automatically displayed on the front page of our website, saving time for the ORO Staff so they no longer need to manually add and maintain these updates on the website.
- Each person can choose how they want to receive these important notices. You can choose to receive these notices without being on the owner-only email list.
- Each person has the power to change their options for receiving these important notices without having to ask the webmaster or ORO Staff to make the change for them. If you want help, the webmaster is available to help you set up and adjust your options as you would like.
If you are interested in receiving these alerts on your cellphone:
- Install the Twitter app you want to use on your phone.
- Create your own Twitter account.
- Follow the OROalerts account.
Twitter provides many options for how you receive these alerts, which includes ways to receive them as text messages. We hope these capabilities help our community stay informed in the ways required by a large community like ours.
